The Otters take on Audubon

The Otters (4th and 5th grade) are at Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center! Yes, Audubon Center of the Northwoods has changed its name, same place different name. The Otters are here for 3 days. So far they have cross country skied, gone out on the ice to engage in some limnology fieldwork (that's the study of freshwater ecosystems), studied lichens on trees, rock climbed, forest ecology, and birding in the woods. Tonight we will have a raptor class and meet the live birds that live here at the center, then a night hike through the woods to the frozen lake where we will send our singing voices across the ice. Then back for a bonfire! Here's some more pics of the trip so far
